St. Louis Public Radio | St. Louis, MO

  • Tripled the assets of St. Louis Public Radio during tenure from $3.8M to $12.5M 
  • More than doubled the annual philanthropic support for STLPR from $3.4M to $8M
  • Received lead pledges of $3M and $1.6M as part of the quiet phase of a $15M campaign for endowment, capital, and content expansion in 2019 and 2020
  • Completed acquisition in 2013 of the St. Louis Beacon that doubled the news operation at St. Louis Public Radio that included a $3M capacity-building fundraising campaign and was the first ever merger between a public radio operation and an online non-profit local news service
  • Led the fundraising effort and successfully completed the construction of UMSL at Grand Center | Home of St. Louis Public Radio in 2012, a $10M, 27,000 square foot broadcast and academic facility located in the Arts and Entertainment district in St. Louis
  • Acquired WQUB-FM in Quincy, IL in 2012 and KMST-FM in Rolla, MO in 2017 for St. Louis Public Radio expanding the station’s coverage area and retaining the public radio service in those communities
  • Partnered with Nine PBS on the construction and on-going operation of the Public Media Commons outdoor community space in the Grand Center Arts District in St. Louis in 2014
  • Recognized as one of the Most Influential St. Louisans in the St. Louis Business Journal 
  • Numerous Awards for excellence including the 2019 and 2018 Kaleidoscope Award from the Radio Television Digital News Association (RTDNA) for the We Live Here podcast (distributed by PRX), the inaugural Peabody-Facebook Futures of Media Award in 2016 for “One Year in Ferguson,” and an Online News Association Award in 2016.

WOSU Public Media | Columbus, OH

  • Administered the successful completion of new Radio Studios and Offices for WOSU.
  • Successfully led a major programming transformation to increase the competitiveness of WOSU’s radio services in the Columbus market
  • Participated as a member of the fundraising leadership team at WOSU in $6M capital campaign
  • Created WOSU Radio Advisory Council to support WOSU Radio initiatives

WVPE Public Radio | South Bend/Elkhart, IN

  • Hired as the first full-time employee of the station and built service from a student operation to a professional operation with 12 FTE and budget of $1.5M.  
  • Qualified station for CPB funding and brought NPR programming to unserved market
  • Created administrative, programming, and development policies for the station.
  • Oversaw the successful completion of several studio and transmitter projects
  • Initiated station participation in numerous public radio initiatives with NPR, CPB and other national organizations
  • Created non-profit Friends board, developed and advanced partnerships with organizations in communities across northern Indiana and southwestern-lower Michigan, and represented the station to its licensee, the Elkhart Community Schools
